BREAKING: NSCDC deploys 2,500 personnel to Kano

Ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir Sallah celebration, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, says it has deployed no fewer than 2,500 personnel to ensure a hitch-free celebration in the state. Also read: Military Pensions Board denies fixing date for payment of outstanding 3 months arrears The Commandant, Abu Tambuwal who disclosed this on Wednesday said the personnel were deployed to various Eid prayer grounds and major routes to ease traffic flow and ensure safety on the roads.

BREAKING: Nigeria contributed $1.17bn to ECOWAS in 16 years 

Nigeria has paid more than 1,177 billion dollars to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) as its Community Levy contribution in the last 16 years. According to documents from a presentation by the ECOWAS Commission to Parliament at Plenary during its Virtual Second Extraordinary Session, Nigeria paid 853,310,564 UA (West Africa Unit of Account) for the period under review.

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three suspected armed robbers who attacked a first generation bank at Okeho in Kajola LGA of State.

BREAKING: 3 armed robbers set ablaze in failed bank robbery

Three armed robbers were on Wednesday set ablaze by angry mob in a failed bank robbery which occurred at a Bank in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State. The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Olugbenga Fadeyi , comfirmed the incident, saying the incident happened at about 5p..m. on Wednesday. ” At about 1658 hrs, there was a bank robbery in which dare devil armed bandits who came with white 18-seater bus invaded First bank Okeho in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State with an intent to rob. 

BREAKING: Suspected bandits attack bullion van in Ebonyi, kill 4 Policemen-CP 

The Police Command in Ebonyi has confirmed the killing of four officers by suspected armed robbers at Ezzamgbo junction of the Enugu-Abakaliki federal highway. The Commissioner of Police in the state, Phillip Maku made the disclosure in an interview with Newsmen on Wednesday. Maku said that 12 persons comprising police officers and a commercial bank’s staff were in the entourage escorting a bullion van from Enugu to Abakaliki and were ambushed by the robbers. 

BREAKING: Police arrest pastor, others over kidnap of dispatch rider

The police said they have arrested the General Overseer of New Life Church of God, Shagamu, over the kidnap of Mr. Job Jonathan, a Despatch Rider with a logistics company. The Force Public Relations Officer, (FPRO), Mr. Frank MBA, disclosed this at a media briefing on Wednesday in Abuja. He said the logistics company, which majored in the distribution of Forever Living Products, had detailed Jonathan to deliver the product following an order placed online.
